The Friends of Ruff House Dog Park Association has three fund raising events per year at Rockwood Park. Events are on Saturdays from 11am until 2pm. Events are staged just outside of the entrance to the Dog Park. Except for Santa Paws which sometimes in held in one of the park shelters. All events feature a treats for dogs, food and drink for humans, games, contests and much more. The events are for dogs and dog owners. Children are welcome in the event area but must be at least 10 years of age to enter the kennels. Specific information about events can be seen below. Our dog park is totally supported by volunteers and fund raising. All proceeds from the event swill go towards expenses for dog park improvements and maintenance. All events are FREE to attend. You do not have to live in Chesterfield County.

The Friends of Ruff House Dog Park is a not-for-profit volunteer organization who is sanctioned by the Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Rec to maintain and improve the park and enforce park rules. In the past the association has, among other projects, purchased and installed shade structures in the kennels, built benches, installed lights, built a storage shed, replaced the fence gates, installed doggie time out areas and, as always, provided free poop bags.

We need your help to pay for even more great improvements.
